Okay, there is no one who is angry. Just trying to make use of collective noun. Do you still remember your collective noun? Well, although we may not use them in a complete sentence per say, without realizing it we still actively use collective noun in our day to day conversation.

Time move so fast! It is already week 12 now. Leaving us with another 2 weeks to reach final. We have completed our syllabus and as promised at the beginning of the semester, we will be tested on paper. Previous couple of weeks had been solely focused on developing our e-course ware. Oh BTW, we have had that course ware uploaded in the Class Blog. Do check it out if you need some refreshment on Countable Nouns. 

In today's lesson we learn how to produce our very own E-course ware using an application call SmartBuilder. This application contain all the necessary tools any course ware builder might need. On first glance it may look quite complicated and I must say it was at first! But once you get to play around with the tools and actions, you will slowly understand how the application works.

In today's post, i will commit an attempt of explaining one of the model used in instructional design. Faeza and I have created an info-graphic

And guess what, in creating such interactive medium too we required model to rely on. Basically the fundamental and most used would be ADDIE model which actually a acronym for analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. There are more and I will probably share another one in my next post. We shall see how generous I can be.

I have witnessed irresponsible civilians dumping their waste into the river like nobody's business. It is very disappointing to see how people have neither sense of shame nor care towards everyone else who's watching and towards the environment. A lot of this waste will eventually be washed to the sea. Causing pollution which not only ruining the sight of the beautiful ocean but endangering the lives of the ocean.

Little effort will make a big different. To NOT dump your waste into the river seems to me more like a common sense rather than effort. I am talking real action from our side here. Let's start small by reducing the usage of plastic in our daily life. We can do this.

Realise how boring a presentation can be sometimes but you have to fake your interest for the sake of respecting people's effort? How we wish they had add more colour to their presentation. But I understand how sometimes we tend to just stick with the plain presentation design because having to add pictures from the internet are a little bit too tedious. To create our design is quite time consuming too.

BUT!

Give a good guess what I have discovered this week? Yes! The solution to the above problem.
Well, frankly speaking I have used it once or twice but only today i get to share it out so more people will know and start using it. What "IT" am I talking about. I am talking about Pawtoon. This amazing websites going to help you in producing a what seems like a 7 day kind of powerpoint presentation when actually you can do it all in one sitting.

It offers you numerous template and editing tool. The best part is you can cartoonize the whole presentation making it looks very interesting. Really it is all about your creativity and the way you explore whatever the have offered and prepared. I will give myself another try with Pawtoon since we are required to produce one presentation video. Be sure to wait for that one! Meanwhile, you should go and check them out. Maybe try making one video of your own too.

I am thrilled! Finally I can proudly say "Hey come and listen to my very first podcast!"

I had fun making this podcast and I hope people would enjoy listening to it. I must say testing out the Audacity software was quite challenging at first. But thank goodness for the existence of YouTube. I watched all the needed tutorial there until I now can say I am able to operate that editing tool at its bare minimum.

The subject is getting more and more interesting! In this week's class I learnt what Podcast is. I must admit i have heard of it before but I was quite unsure as to what it is referring to. It turns out to be, Podcast my daily go to when I am on YouTube. I subscribed myself to a few language channel and little did I know I have been introduced to the world of Podcast since forever! Podcast is basically a broadcast video or audio. Usually it contains information in any filed at all, you name it. Self help, education, entertainment, interview and a ton more I am still yet to discover.

Podcast can be benefited in two ways, for student to post a podcast of their own or for student to search up anything they might required. Podcast can truly help in area such as listening skill. It can helps listener to listen better and catch up the pronunciation of native speaker. There are a bunch of websites you can access to listen to a huge numbers of podcast. Below are just a couple i could list out.

Let's begin by stating the actual fact that i did not make it to the class in week 3. However, lucky enough I have my friends to help me out with resourcing the notes. I am not quire left behind then thanks to the advanced of technology and of course the kindness of my friends. Talking about the advancement of technology, have you heard of CMC? It is basically stand for computer mediated communication. It is when any human interaction occurs through two or more electronic devices. We all have pretty much done this! Apparently is actively doing it too. The field of education is taking the advantage of CMC in spreading the knowledge. It is implemented in long distance teaching and learning conversely. CMC can be divided into two, which are asynchronous and synchronous. Asynchronous is when the communication does not happen in real time. Replies most often time do not happen immediately, this can be best seen in forums, emails and message boards. Meanwhile, synchronous is completely the other way around. It happen in real time, and replies can be received immediately. Internet chat room, video or audio conferencing are among the example where participants can experience synchronous CMC. Depending on which medium of social media participants use, both can be relied on for the success of transference information. Long distance learning was made possible through CMC. Learners and teachers manage to get together and discuss on subject matters only through devices. In fact, you can be of different time zone and it will still be possible. However, we must admit, at some point there are disadvantages associated with CMC in education. Having the freedom to just log into devices for communication process, we somehow experience lack of real human contact.However, honestly that is just a minor set back if you ask me. After all, let's admit, we have been leaving face to face conversation quite far behind. In terms of acquiring new language through CMC, it is not impossible to learn. In fact, the chances to learn more languages are widely lay in front of us. But bear in mind, we usually associate language learning with culture as weel. Knowing the language is to know the culture as well. Through CMC this may be quite difficult to attain as it is best for the student to actually be at the place to experience the actual culture. Nevertheless, this is an incredible progress in education system and we should embrace it as best as we can. There are more years to come to perfected this system.
