Week 1

by - October 01, 2018

Well if it weren't because of this subject, the last memory I have with blogging would probably stay in my teenage years. Obviously trying to fit into the trend of virtual diary like everyone else back then. But here I am again for another XOXO moment. It feels rather nostalgic to be doing this again. I must admit I have lost a little sense of excitement to blog. However the practice of blogging can be beneficial, so i'm hoping through this subject's requirement, I can find interest in blogging again. Just before we dive into everything else, maybe we can get to know each other first?  I go by the name Ummu, but in case you are wondering, my full and almost never use name is Ummu Syaza Madihah. I was born and raised here in Kuala Lumpur and yes I am among those who will occupy the empty Kuala Lumpur every Raya or "balik kampung" season. I am 24 years of age but I believe I am still very much younger at heart.

The first week has been smooth despite of few minor changes with the timetable but that is not our main concern here. Got to stay focus, okay.  When i was first introduce to the name of the course I was quite clueless as to what is this all about. To worse things up, I almost always not excited with word "technology". I find it quiet complicated and mundane for me to hold a grasp on. Fortunately, this subject is not all about understanding what "html" is and what website does and all those things. This subject apparently will expose us to how English can be learnt and taught through the aid of technology. We were first introduce to Blog. Where there are various types of blog and each serve specific function. Aside from knowing that, we were given reason as to why blog can be beneficial in completing this subjects's assessment.  I am still looking forward for more content and can't wait to explore further into this subject.

I do hope and expect through this subject I will able to fully utilize the technology I have today especially the internet in gaining and giving knowledge. I hope by embarking in this, I get to diversify my way of approaching any sort of knowledge that is made available for me.

Until then, don't forget to switch off the electricity every time you leave the house.

Love, Ummu.
