Remember back then when we used to have CD-ROM attached at the back page of our school textbook? Trust me i was always excited to have it played and follow the instructions given. Best is, you need to either way (like it or not) open the actual text book, read through it, in order to play the activity in the CD-ROM.
And only today, in our class i managed to understand the CD-ROM is one of the end result of instructional design. Such a big word! We pretty much used instruction design to deliver knowledge and gain knowledge. It promotes understanding through activities or notes that were design according to the desired level of the targeted audience. Aside from them, what is more amazing is, we can asses the work-ability of the whole instructions by providing exercises or activities. Which later would allow for improvisation if needed.
In order to create a some sort of CD-ROM we just talked about earlier, we will require a team of amazingness! okay, basically we need content creator, software designer and graphic designer to make it all possible. So the next time you want to throw away the cd without checking it up first, think again! Think about all the sleepless night these people had to endure for the sake of that cd you too ungrateful to appreciate.

And guess what, in creating such interactive medium too we required model to rely on. Basically the fundamental and most used would be ADDIE model which actually a acronym for analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. There are more and I will probably share another one in my next post. We shall see how generous I can be.
Until then, drink a lot of water, keep yourself hydrated!
Love,
Ummu.
